St Baldrick's Day 2010

Updated On: Jan 16, 2010 (21:58:00)

On February 25, 2010 the New Haven County Firefighters Emerald Society will once again be hosting a "St. Baldrick's Day" event being held at the Black Bear Saloon 124 Temple St. New Haven. St. Baldrick's Day is a fundraiser to raise money for children's cancer research. The participants shave their heads in exchange for donations to the cause.

This is our fifth year hosting this event and the third at the Black Bear Saloon. Last year 35 shavees and 12 volunteers managed to raise over $20,000 and with your help we can exceed that amount.

Registration begins at 4:00 PM, with shaving at 6:00 PM. There will be drink specials, St. Baldrick’s Day merchandise for sale, and performances by the New Haven County Firefighters Emerald Society Pipes & Drums.

You can research more information about the St. Baldrick’s Foundation as well as our event at www.stbaldricks.org.
